What sets us apart from a traditional martial arts school is that we specialize in children’s character development programs. Some schools will have one of these programs, usually for four to six year olds. Typically though, by the time they’re seven, the students are placed in a traditional self defense program where they generally learn the same materials the adults do.
Each one of our youth development programs has been very carefully researched and structured to push the development of our students both physically and mentally. Our developmental programs are age-appropriate and they target the skills that are developing at each age group. We understand that they’re children, not little adults and we have realistic expectations of what they’re able to do. Over the years, we’ve found this structure works much better for our students than trying to teach them skills that are beyond their understanding or abilities.
